What made you choose the outfits you did for this event?

When I was planning the wedding, I knew I wanted to have a mix of traditional and modern Indian outfits for all events.

For the sangeet specifically, I wanted something that was colorful and comfortable to wear. I came across Harleen Kaur’s designs and visited the store in NYC. As soon as I walked into the store, I knew I had to get my sangeet outfit from there. I tried on a few different combinations and finally landed on this skirt and top that matched my vision.

What advice would you give to future couples for their wedding?

Enjoy the day! The time goes by really fast so take in every moment, talk to everyone, smile for all the pictures, dance, eat the food you spent so much time selecting, and don’t stress!

What were you most looking forward to during your wedding/wedding weekend?

We were really looking forward to celebrating with our closest family and friends. After planning theweddingfor so many months, we were excited to finally see our vision come to life and celebrate with those closest to us.

What was your experience like working with Harleen Kaur?

Harleen Kaur and team were amazing to work with for my wedding sangeet outfit. I visited the showroom in NYC and met Harleen - she was very helpful to put together a few options based on what I was looking for in my sangeet outfit and also talked through customizations.

I didn’t live in NYC so I placed the order over email and the team was helpful in finalizing the measurements closer to the actual event. I love Harleen’s work since it was modern with colorful Indian elements which made this the perfect choice for the sangeet!
